The flesh can't learn to lean on the Lord.    For that reason, it is often ineffective to offer Christian truisms to the one looking for a solution to his problem.    Walking by faith takes place in prayer.  It is not enough to know all the right things or hear all the right things.  The Lord must be real to the seeker, and that does not happen apart from real prayer.    There must be prayer that expresses agreement with God's Word.  The most simple of believers is fully able to tell the Lord he will obey.     It is not necessary to preach to the Lord and to tell him all about the details.  It is often necessary to have an outpouring of the heart before the One who cares about the smallest detail.  There is nothing wrong with bringing His Word before Him in prayer.    Are you longing to let go of the burden?  You must discuss it with Him.  You must declare your position.  Tell Him you want His way and nothing else.  Tell Him you know that He sees much and you see little.    Tell Him aloud.    Tell Him today.

   The Soldier of The Cross will increase in verdure as the years go by.    What does the Bible say about age?  Those who follow hard after Him will be monuments to His faithfulness.  The Psalmist tells us that they will be more flexible with age - like the palm tree.  He says that they will be resistant to invasion - like cedar, which is resistance to insects.    Soldier, keep in mind that there is so  much more beyond tomorrow.  On the other hand, you must live in the moment.  today.  you may not be distracted by the thing that you can not change.  You must press into the exercising of your gift(s).    Memorize.    Pray aloud.    Tell the Lord what you love about Him.    Tell Him that you will leave all behind to follow Him.    Then, pay intense attention to those before you.    Love with abandon.

   We must be reminded that He is Love.    Yes, He has many attributes, but He IS Love.    Soldier of The Cross, it is His heart to transform us into His likeness.  It is His desire that we minister Love.  It is His desire that we live and move and have our being in the One who is Love.    Love is exquisite.  Love can not be quenched, and Love is never hidden.  Love is always greater that the effort to contain it.    Love is sacrificial.  Love never licks its wounds.  Love is not a victim.    Love is a person, and He is reflected in the lives and on the countenances of those who will take up the Cross and follow Him.

   The Soldier of The Cross has His agenda as the priority for each day.    Soldier, what is the purpose of distraction?   It is to dilute your use of time, your use of your own faculties and your need to take care of yourself before attending to the needs of others.    We are to be transformed into His Likeness  What does that mean?  He went to the Cross.  For us. Without Complaint.    What is your life about?  It must be about knowing Jesus.     It must be about following Him.     It must be about rescue.    It must be about loving the unlovely.    It must be about a Ministry of Life.    Have you understood that each day must have an eternal purpose?  Are you standing before Him in obedience and agreement?    At best, your life is a few years.  Eternity is without measure.    Watch your mouth in  your home.  Is the problem whether or not you are accurately understood?     Are you desperate about finances?    Are you hated?    Can you say that you know you have experienced His Touch?    Is there anything else?    Is there Anyone else?

   In war, the first priority is to cut off the enemy's communication.    Soldier of The Cross, it is the enemy's strategy to cripple your prayer life and your taking in of God's fresh revelation through His Word.    We all know it.  We also all know that it takes an extra effort and determination to be faithful in this area.    Press on.    Encourage others.    Memorize.    Invest in eternity.

   How does a Soldier of The Cross move throughout the day?    By prayer.    In agreement with God.    With abandon to personal preference.    Seeking to serve.    Listening to others attentively.    Refusing negativity.    Determined to Love.    Soldier, He loves you so.  He died for you and He counted the shame as nothing because you were the Prize.    Get things in perspective.  When you awake, decide whose day it is, and whom you will serve.  Do you really want the immediate problem solved, or do you want your treasure to be invested in eternity?    Tell Him.    Aloud.    Then, look up and move on.

   Christian Soldier, what caused you to enlist?    Were you born again?  Was it real?  Did anything actually change? Probably so, and if so, there is transformation Power. Resurrection Power.    Soldier of The Cross, there are no wimps in the army of The Lord. You must make an affirmative decision concerning whom you will serve.  Will you serve Him , or must you serve yourself?    Is there any other question?

You are responsible for the world in one way or another. The One who Came, Died and Rose Again, came to save all. It is His desire that no one should perish. The Great Commission has been given so that every follower of Christ would take upon him or herself a responsibility for the condition of the nations of the world. Soldier of The Cross, in most of the world, you must minister the sustenance of life before you can present the Gospel. A third of the world suffers from hunger. Many are imprisoned. Most of the very elderly are shut in. Hospitals are full of the ill who need to be loved and encouraged. Orphanages are full of children who need sustenance and love. All need Jesus. They need a vision. They need unconditional Love. They need Hope. They need physical help. They need encouragement. They need to see Jesus in and they needtoi see Him through His Own. Soldier of The Cross, are you thinking there is a distressing situation in your life? In God's economy, there is no such thing as a problem, and you are in the service of The King. Look away from yourself and Serve. You must discuss this with Him. Stand before Him. Let Him know you will serve those who are needy. Tell Him aloud. Watch for His leading. The Lover of Your Soul wants to lead you into freedom and delight. Invest in the eternal.

   Soldier of The Cross, everything  in existence is qualified by the fact that He Is.    His reality means that His Promises are true.    His reality means that He is carefully attentive to each detail of your life.    His reality means that prayer releases Him in your life.    His reality means that His Word is more real than the way that you feel.       His reality means that your home is in heaven and you must invest there.    Soldier, there will be no excuses. Love, Serve and Obey.

   There is no limit to God's Love.    You are able to to love even the most unlovely, because you have been commanded to do so.  God has never given a commandment without making a way for obedience.    Soldier of The Cross, Love is  not always emotion.  If you live by feeling, you will always be weak and you will be addicted to the things that produce or remove certain feelings.     God's Love is not an emotion.  It is a supernatuiral expression of who He is.    He wants to Love through you.
