Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Soldier of The Cross, there can be no listening to the enemy.
     Not even a little.
The one who seeks to devour is always roaming around, looking for someone
who will listen to him. He is always looking for one who has an opening of
fear, jealousy, or pride.
When he finds that one, he pounces.
Satan's goal is always to have a target. He is looking to destroy, and he does
it well.
Soldier, if you re willing to resist him, satan will flee. The problem is, it is so
human to want to be right.
The following are all evidences of the whisperings and stirring of the enemy:
     Isolation.
     Any flesh-flash.
     Self-justification.
     Self-pity.
     Gossip.
     Educated guessing about circumstances.
     Offense.
The Word of God is clear about Christian behavior. Are you willing to put
the flesh to death? Or do you have to preserve the flesh?
Is the issue how you have been treated? Is it evident you are eager to lay
your life down for others? Do you condone self-pity in others?
There is simply no other way to live. When you drink at the brook, look around.
Be on guard.
Do not be the next willing victim.
