Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Soldier, remember: the keenness of your attention, the posture of your body, and
the look on your countenance make a huge difference to the person before you.
The governing of your body is in itself a ministry of life.
I have the equivalent of three full-time jobs. I know what it is to be tired. Our phone
rings all night, and, during the day, needy people come both to my office and to my
home.
And the are, in fact, genuinely needy.
That means I must be always actively deciding I will choose the Lord's Life, because
I want to be a living sacrifice.
I don't feel much like a living sacrifice. I just feel tired, and I feel that way most of the
time. I don't think about it often, because the needs before me are so intense, and
unless I am in a sinful thought pattern, the Holy Spirit assertively ministers if I am
available.
     Soldier, the years are few.
The needs are many. Get a drink of water and some cheese, review your verse,
and move on to the next needy soul.
