Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

When the storm is howling all around,  do not discuss and describe the storm to all who will listen.
There are times (most of the time) when we need trusted warriors to pray with us. Other times, particularly when praying down strongholds, we need corporate prayer.
Most of the time however, when a believer is talking about and endlessly describing the problem, he is unknowingly but desperately trying to gain some control.
     Stop.
Consider why you are speaking. Is it because you need to talk? Or is it really because you want to go hand in hand to the Throne of Grace and leave the storm in the Hands of the Master of the Universe?
The immature believer will use each available party as a sounding board for the storm that assails him.
The mature Christian understands there must be prayer, there must be resting, and there must be moving on with the work of the Lord, even while the gales are still howling and roofs seem to be flying off.
There will be no calm until the calm can happen in the worst of the storm.
