I have told
you this before, but I will tell you again - He will do it in
a way that you could never have conceived! His goal is not the resolution of your situation. His goal is you! Don't forget, time is short and eternity is without measure. The things we need to prepare us are beyond our control because we are beings of time. In order to be transformed into the likeness of the One with whom we will be with forever, we must function in the economy of eternity, and that is not possible humanly. So, we have the Along-side One. We have the Comforter. He empowers the believer to take one choice at a time and obey. There is no other way. And for the Soldier of the Cross who is willing to do things God's way (which means obedience without seeing the results first) the Holy Spirit is free to operate in fullness. It is critical to tell the Lord that you understand that you are an eternal, adopted Son, and that you long to be changed and prepared for eternity. You can't just think about it - you must tell Him outloud. He will tenderly respond by revealing Himself in a new way - new each hour. He will sharpen sight and expand hearing. He will release Rivers of Living Water. He Will make you a minister of Life. Turn your sight away from the distraction and press on into the agenda of heaven! |
