When all is said
and done, there is nothing to do but to continue! All the human monuments in the world have nothing to say about eternity, but of course, the Word of God has all there is to say about the subject. And when you have been born again, you ought to choose His way immediately, because there is a witness of the Spirit that lets us know all else is vain. You know you have been born again because you can't go back. It is actually simple. So, His way is the only way. We press into the word of God, and we learn to put our weight on Him. He is not obscure, or elusive, or even a little cloaked. He is not only available, but is waiting breathlessly for our attention. And, we have the "Along=side One" - the Holy Spirit. So, we go forward, as He has said, "in a straight line. . ." led by the Holy Spirit. We are not under the economy that surrounds us on a human level, but rather, we are Soldiers of the Cross. We do not wear an emblem, but we take up the Cross as we have been commanded, and we follow Him. There is nowhere else to go! |
