I love the hymn
that says: "Rise up, oh men of God, Be done with lesser things. . ." I want with all my heart to look back from heaven and know that I learned to "be done with lesser things." Everything that is not of value in heaven is a "lesser thing", and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know which is which. The things that are of value are things that are learned through submission. They are things that cost the giving up of something else, and they are not things elevated and recognized by society. We must press forward and leave such things behind. That seems to be quite difficult for most, but fingers must be uncurled, and heavy packets must drop.We have a race to run, and it is not run by human power. So, Soldier of the Cross, you and I - we must be done with lesser things! |
