Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

Tonight I am speaking primarily to women:
Your flesh is not going to improve. It can be trained to behave with a degree of moderation if it can be convinced it can gain something from the change. Of course, that is not heaven's transformation!
So forget trying to change yourself.
Right now, I am speaking to women who have sharp tongues with their husbands. You have absolutely no idea what you are doing. Don't you realize that in your frustration and loneliness, you are holding the man to whom the Living God assigned you, to be subject to change, based on your myopic demands?
He (your husband) was not assigned to you! You were made from his side, and you are his completion.
Much of the time, the things that bother a woman are such that ought to change. On a human level, you may be right about almost everything. But that is not relevent.
     Only God's Word is relevent.
Now you sit down and listen to me carefully: This is a case of "the Bible says." If you were physically with me, would you start giving me a list of all the reasons why you are justified in your frustration? Or would you tell me that you have learned the Lord knows what He is doing and does not need a whip applied to the back of His Servant, your husband?

Particularly to women who are married to Christians, I say STOP! BE SILENT!
You have no idea what doors you are opening for satan in both your life, and your relationship with your husband.
Are you going to stand before the Lord and give excuses for your amazingly disobedient tongue by listing someone else's faults?
     I don't think so.
You will be so smitten that you are in the presence of the One Who hung the stars and kept the earth revolving, that you will not be able to speak.
You will see Him as the King of Glory who came so that you might be filled with His Life instead of the criticism you have for the one to whom God assigned you.
Your assessment might be right, but you are looking at the wrong thing.
Stop thinking about what is wrong and look at the One Who rescued you from blindness and deafness, and for goodness sake, discipline yourself, and govern your tongue!
Women of God, LOVE BEAUTIFUL BEHAVIOR!!!
