Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

There is nothing about Christianity that appeals to the flesh.
To embrace the Living Lord is to declare death to the flesh and includes a decided determination to choose the things that will be, at least in part, painful.
The victory comes from the vision of what can be, and what ought to be.
For example, not many believers understand that this life can be lived without deliberate sin. Moreover, the unbridled tongue is so common, it is hard to imagine someone who would actually obey the Lord and allow his speech to reflect heaven and minister grace.
Yet, that is how we are to live. It is not impossible, and what's more, it is necessary.
We have supernatural power. Our goals are not to be the goals of the world, but they are to be the goals of being dead to the world and alive unto Christ.
That means our method of living and the way we think and speak should reveal Jesus, and in order to have the strength move about in that dimension, we must have the fuel of the Word and the Power of Prayer.
Soldier, stop wallowing in what isn't, and march according to reality! He hasn't called us to a life of struggling - He has called us to victory!
