Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

As time marches on, discipline is harder and harder to find.
But no treasure of heaven can be gained with out it. Prayer takes amazing discipline. Bible memorization - even reading - these things take discipline. The assembling of ourselves together (and not for entertainment) takes discipline.
While the world is spinning toward the impending prophetic events, things around us are getting more watery by the day. There is a subtile and sweet seduction to the flesh that takes place each day all around us, and though we are often not aware, our godly discipline can be eroded.
I can't just establish a way of living and hum on to death - I need light! We all need the Light that the Lord sheds broadly on the things in front of us, in order to spend the hours and minutes for eternal value.
We are sojourners and pilgrims, and we may not live as those who aren't.
Brothers and Sisters, in an era of even spiritual apathy and the worship of recreation, let us look to the One Who would not be distracted and allow Him to work that discipline in us, moment by moment.
Don't forget, I will not a achieve a place of spiritual discipline, but I can learn spiritual dependency , and that will keep me seeing that the next thing on heaven's agenda must be done.
