Daily Devotionals by Ardith Keef

We allow our days to be shredded by each thing that comes along.
We are told to spend our time wisely, yet we fill our waking hours with radio and television programs and our mouths leak running commentaries on our circumstances.
Believers ought not to live that way.
We are to have a productive thought life, and the actions and words of our lives should be a product of obedient thoughts and not the other way around.
Even when the most unfair things happen or when tragedy takes the wind out of our sales, we must take hold of the fact that our lives are not about those events, but they are about obeying the One who gave His life as a ransom for many.
When the Christian gets to heaven, he will see that his life was a composite of actions and reactions based on God's word, not on the things that happened.
We are to live lives that are affirmatively aimed at serving, not trying to think of how to fix a situation of get even with it.
We should be the same if we suffer deeply and are misunderstood or are enjoying visible, human success. Neither circumstance should show on the personality.
What should show is Jesus, and Him crucified!
