Dear Friend:

Wow!  We went from sweaters one day to air-conditioners the next.  But that's ok.  As the saying goes, if you don't like the weather in Maine, just wait a few minutes and your favorite kind of weather will roll around.

I am a little more caught up this summer than usual, although I am not sure why that is.  I have several horrid trials that I absolutely have to win.  I hate it when people lie.  Maine is great because you can tape record someone as long as you are a party to the conversation.  So, I have lots of Perry Mason moments in court.

We have a houseful right now - six children and five adults, but at any given moment, there are eleven children (or more) and seven adults.  The more the merrier.  We laugh a lot and although there are some pretty stringent rules (like no running in the house and no toys at the table), nobody gets upset over spilled milk, and everyone enjoys the children.

I had a weak moment this weekend and ate ten Cheetos yesterday.  Other than that, I've been pretty good.  No more pounds off, but I'm fitting into things that have been sitting for years.

I am off to work out.
