Have Scalpel Will Travel!

This is a book written by a surgeon, who has devoted much of his life, his remarkable skill, and his dedication to the care of the poor in rural Ethiopia. It is indeed an inspiring and gripping story of huge interest, especially to any of the Medical Profession or with an interest in Africa. Situations described so vividly will amaze and appal, but the lives saved will also amaze! It is a well written story by a man of great courage and integrity who as a young man gave his life to Jesus Christ and then to the needy in Africa. Dr Catherine Hamlin AC

"Outstanding among our visitors were a team of ladies led by Ardith Keef who came several times from their church in Maine USA. They came with minimal personal effects and their cases loaded with medical ‘goodies’ for the hospital in Soddo. The contents were mainly, but not exclusively, anaesthetic drugs without which our hospital could not have continued to work as it did. Amazingly customs never asked for any of their bags to be opened, and there were no questions asked concerning the contents. As couriers they were great and as friends they were very welcome."
