Dear Friend,

I know I owe you a note - we are just back from Oregon whee we visited with family and had a wonderful time.  It was cool and dry most of the time.

We came back to the most interesting weather!  The night before last two tornadoes were spotted in Maine.  Can you imagine?  And yesterday I drove to a neighboring town and saw big, fat trees that had been snapped off near the ground.  Pretty exciting.  I have sheep stalls under my office and was thinking about blasting into them and hunkering down.  In the meantime,  Bill was doing a service in a retirement home and missed all the fun.

Well, I haven't had the nerve to weigh for a few weeks, but one of my fancy dresses is going to have to go to the Salvation Army now.  It is hanging and looks funny - a nice problem to have.
