Summer is upon us!  I have just returned from three great days in Columbus Ohio.  The trip began with a nice time with new friends met through the store.  Then, I got caught in a dog parade!  (As a lawyer, I am wondering if there are any ruling cases on dog's right of way on a main thoroughfare.)   It turned out ok and I made it to my next appointment, after which I spent seven hours at the zoo!  Wow!  What a place that was.  I used to go when I lived there, but it is so much better now.  I got to see some otter action and one of the ducks decided to take a splash in the tiger pond.  That was pretty exciting - I didn't know a tiger could be airborne for that long!   The duck escaped, but barely.

Our next trip is to Portland, Oregon to see my Aunt and Uncle.  They were missionaries in Ethiopia during the Cuban communist invasion.  They're retired and we have not been there for several years.    I was born there, but was only there a  few months, so my memories are not too vivid.

After that, I head for Ethiopia and Bill is probably going to Siberia.  Busy summer.
