Spirit Aviation, located in both Sanford and Pittsfield, Maine offers a variety of aviation services. Spirit has operated a 24 hour on demand charter service successfully for the past 7 years with Bob Hart working as both chief pilot and director. Captain Hart has been flying in the United States and Canada for the past 10 years. Besides, Captain Hart, there are three other commercial pilots who hold multi-engine instrument ratings that work with Spirit Aviation.
In operation, currently, are a Piper Aztec, Piper Navajo, a Cessna 182, and a Cherokee 140; corporate jets such as the Hawker, Citation and Westwind are also available with advance notice from the customer.
Spirit provides freight hauling services in a Piper Aztec and Piper Navajo. Instruction from the private pilot certificate through CFII is also available, this includes instrument training in both singles and multi-engine aircraft. Spirit can provide pilots to ferry aircraft at affordable rates, with a guarantee that your airplane will be delivered. Spirits customers have always received excellent service and the goal is to get our client to the desired destination quickly and safely.
Through an organization known as the King's Airmen, established under the umbrella of International Missionary Service, Spirit Aviation makes available their planes and pilots for the purpose of providing mercy flights. These flights are provided for the purpose of moving donated organs, sick patients, and missionaries at extremely low costs. The pilots volunteer time and fuel expenses are paid through donations. One of our mercy flights involved transporting a child suffering from aids from Florida to Maine with her mother.
The plane you see above is the Russian developed AN-2. This plane is an absolute work-horse that can withstand the severe elements of a Siberian climate and is capable of providing excellent freight hauling services.
Currently Spirit Aviation along with International Missionary Service and King's Airmen are working on a project to establish aviation services in the former Soviet Union.
IMS field director Dean Street is spearheading this project. Dean spent the last seven years in Kharkov Ukraine as missionary pastor of the evangelical church, Love and Salvation. He has fluency in the Russian language and is a skilled multi-engine pilot.
The King's Airmen meet every third Saturday of the month at the Sanford office of Spirit Aviation located at the Sanford Maine Airport. This is a time when we have fellowship over breakfast and spend time discussing projects. We love to worship the Lord Jesus by singing hymns and in prayer we make our requests known to Him.
Our meetings start at 9 AM and all are welcome.
